Sayo Talabi; a writer, poet, presenter, creative, award-winning journalist and all-round natural born performer.

Sayo began writing and performing spoken word poetry from a young age, but it was lockdown where her online persona really rose to fame. With her legendary grey fur coat and red lip, Sayo began performing her “Kpoetry” - an exaggerated spoken word performance bringing together parts of her Nigerian heritage and British upbringing.

In 2024, Sayo sold out her first live show, performing to over 100 people in Central London. When not performing, Sayo is carefully curating new social media formats, including comedy skits portraying various characters who are now well-known and loved by her community.

Sayo's most recent venture is her 'It Takes a Village' campaign which aims to recruit 16,000 new black heritage blood donors across the UK tp help tackle the urgent shortage of well-matched blood for sickle-cell patients.
